Before you get out the "For Sale" sign, it's wise to get out the calculator first and figure out what costs you'll need to budget for.
Of course, these fees can vary widely depending on your agent, lender, legal advisor and home makeover needs, but here is a handy example of the typical costs involved in selling an owner-occupied home for $2,000,000
- Advertising and marketing - $5,500 - $10,000
- Auctioneer or Online Auction - $600
- Solicitor or Conveyancer - $800
- Mortgage discharge - $1,000
- Moving - $1,500
Total $9,400 - $13,900
Agent Commission - 1.5% - 2%
